MONSOON LEDGER
A monsoon wipes out part of the CCTV timeline while a handwritten cargo ledger records container moves that officially never happened.
Monsoon Ledger uses an industrial Port Klang setting where weather noise, cranes, handheld scanners and finance systems create overlapping evidence streams.
The premise
During a violent monsoon squall, cargo surveyor Harun Zulkifli is found dead beneath the Berth 14 survey gantry. Rain and a seven-minute camera loss initially make the timeline look impossible. Harun's handwritten ledger records container movements that do not exist in the terminal gate system.
What the player is trying to establish
Separate weather-related outages from deliberate manipulation, trace the phantom containers, and prove who used the storm to hide both a murder and a cargo-billing scheme.
The hard part is separating genuine storm disruption from transactions deliberately inserted into the confusion and then linking phantom cargo to a person with physical access.
Investigation skills this case rewards
- Operational log correlation
- Fraud pattern analysis
- Weather-vs-system reasoning
- Physical trace interpretation
Spoiler-free investigation notes
- Not every outage takes every system offline.
- Repeated numbers can be more suspicious than missing numbers.
- Use the storm as a timeline constraint, not an explanation for everything.
The playable case uses a fixed solution, cloud-saved progress and a ten-minute attempt window. You will need an account so the investigation state can be saved.
