LAST FERRY
Minutes before the final ferry leaves Kota Kinabalu, a compliance consultant is found dead and a suspiciously clean radio transmission seems to extend her timeline.
Last Ferry combines industrial waterfront movement with document-heavy compliance work. The restricted pier, vehicle deck, operations corridor and radio system create several overlapping timelines. The sea-terminal setting also makes ambient sound itself part of the evidence.
The premise
Evelyn Goh is found dead in the terminal operations office minutes before the final ferry departs. A radio call appears to place her alive at 9:46 PM, but the recording sounds strangely clean. Four people had access to the restricted pier that night.
What the player is trying to establish
Reconstruct Evelyn's final hour, determine whether the radio call was genuine, and identify who needed her compliance report to disappear.
The case asks whether a transmission was genuinely live and why a compliance report mattered enough to suppress. Players need to compare access-card data, CCTV gaps, operational records and the acoustic environment of a working terminal.
Investigation skills this case rewards
- Audio-context analysis
- Operational timeline reconstruction
- Compliance-document review
- Matching physical traces to work areas
Spoiler-free investigation notes
- Background sound can be as informative as spoken words.
- A staff credential proves use of a credential, not automatically the identity of the person holding it.
- Follow the paperwork far enough to understand who benefits if the report disappears.
The playable case uses a fixed solution, cloud-saved progress and a ten-minute attempt window. You will need an account so the investigation state can be saved.
